How to Record your Hikes

Recording your hike is one of the unique things you can do on the HikeADKs.com website.  Follow these instructions, once you do it once you'll get the hang of it.

  • Login to your account. Click "Your Details" on the User Menu
  • Under the Edit button, you'll find a choice "Update your Profile", click that.  This brings you into your profile where you can update and change your information (address, phone, interest etc.)
  • You'll find a "High Peaks" tab, click on that. This is where you can record your climbs, there is a pull down menu to choose your peak, fill in the date for which you climbed the mountain, and a comments box for you to type in a brief description about your trip.
  • Click "Add your climb" when done, and that's it.  Your climb has been added to the system and you can enter more High Peak climbs in the same fashion.  You can always click the "Edit" or "Delete" buttons to modify or complely delete an entry.
  • Please note you are allowed to enter multiple High Peak climbs of the same mountain. For example many of us have climbed a few climbs twice, or three times.  Just enter in the Climb and Date and all of your climbs will be listed.
  • When done, click the "Update" button at the bottom of the page. You can view your full Adirondack High Peak climbing roster anytime by clicking the High Peak tab on your profile.  At the top it will give you a summary telling you how many peaks you'e climbed out of the 46.  Other members can view your High Peak roster but viewing your profile - and vice versa you can view their high peak progress.
